Quality Improvement Toolkit
The CPQCC Toolkit is an all inclusive quality improvement package that, when put in the hands of committed physicians and other health care providers, promotes and facilitates improved clinical outcomes and superior patient care. This Toolkit is the second in a series of CPQCC Toolkits focusing on reducing chronic lung disease in neonates.
The CPQCC Toolkits are designed to be shared. Those who will benefit from the Toolkits include Neonatologists, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists, OB/GYNs, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Health Educators, Pharmacists, Data Contacts, Report Contacts, and others in your hospital. Note that this material was developed by and produced for the Members of the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative.
Reproduction for commercial purposes is prohibited. Utilization and copying of the materials to improve the care of pregnant women and their newborns is encouraged with proper citation of source. Your downloading and printing of these materials indicates your acceptance of this rule.
For technical support (or other questions) contact the CPQCC office at (650) 723-5763.
Sections 1 and 2: Introduction/Background and Rationale.
Section 3: Hospital-Specific Data.
CPQCC member hospitals were sent hospital-specific data when their Toolkits were mailed to them in July 2001. Since this is a generic version of the Toolkit, this section is left blank. Please refer to your VON/CPQCC tables and figures on surfactant administration, ventilation strategies, and chronic lung disease rates to assess your Center's performance.
