Nutritional Support of the Very Low Birth Weight (VLBW) Infant: A Self-Paced Learning Module
This course is intended to assist perinatal health care providers to improve nutritional outcomes for NICU infants through rapid assessment of current nutritional practices, development of evidence-based best practices and the enabling of rapid, multidisciplinary improvement cycles. The course requires the participant to:
• Study the slide presentation;
• Read the Nutritional Support of the Very Low Birth Weight (VLBW) Infant Toolkit; and
• Complete and return the post-test, course evaluation and reporting forms.
The course is presented using presentation slides, a written toolkit and supplemental materials. Upon successful completion of this module,
the participant may earn 2 CMEs / 4 CEUs. Components of the self-paced
