Dr. Ryu currently works in the NICU at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica. She received her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, completed her pediatric residency at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey, and finally her fellowship training in Neonatology at Tufts Medical Center. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of California, San Diego. During her fellowship, she studied clinical practice and risk factors related to the development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in preterm infants. She has also been involved with quality improvement projects in reducing the rate of intraventricular hemorrhage in extremely preterm infants.
