Kristen is a Program Manager for CPQCC and the University of California, San Diego. She supports several CPQCC research projects, including the research collaboration program. While completing her BS in Nutritional Sciences at Texas A&M University, she volunteered with the Texas Women, Infants, and Children’s (WIC) program. Realizing her passion for maternal-infant health, she went on to become a WIC Nutritionist for two years before following her dream of moving to San Diego.
After working in patient care and research and development at a medical device company, she returned to school and completed her MPH in Epidemiology at the University of California, San Diego. Kristen dreams of eradicating racial health disparities and the systems that created them. Her favorite thing about her job is working with so many others who are passionate about health equity.
