Rachelle Sey is currently practicing as a Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in a large, 84 bed, Level III NICU in San Diego. She has over 12 years of neonatal nursing experience and 7 years as a CNS. As CNS, she is a Masters prepared Advance Practice Registered Nurse whose function is to improve outcomes in patient care while positively influences 3 spheres of influence; Patient Care, Nursing and Organizations. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing evidence-based practice protocols to improve the quality of care in the NICU. In addition, she has expertise in leading various quality improvement initiatives with a particular interest in neonatal infusion therapy, skin/wound care, infection prevention, neonatal nutrition and neonatal brain injury and the neurological intensive care nursery.
