The Mid-Coastal California Perinatal Outreach Program (MCCPOP) is located in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatal and Developmental Medicine at Stanford University. MCCPOP collaborates closely with Charles B. and Ann L. Johnson Center for Pregnancy and Newborn Services at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH). The Johnson Center is a comprehensive clinical service line, which includes obstetrical and neonatal services. Consolidation of these services has been instrumental in strengthening LPCH's ability to offer integrated and synergistic family-centered service.
The Mid-Coastal Perinatal Region (Region 4) includes the counties of San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo. The region extends along the central coast for approximately 300 miles, it includes urban, suburban and rural areas, and is socio-economically and ethnically diverse.
