Increasing Human Milk Use in the NICU

Human milk use in the NICU can improve outcomes for VLBW infants by reducing rates of NEC, chronic lung disease, retinopathy of prematurity, late-onset sepsis, and neurodevelopment impairment. Join us on September 23rd from 12-1pm as we share a new Tip Sheet on increasing human milk use at discharge and a video that highlights how a CPQCC NICU has encouraged human milk use. A panel will also dialogue about the ideas in the tip sheet and video. Panel members will include a neonatologist, a lactation consultant, a NICU nurse practitioner, and a NICU parent. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions about the challenges your unit faces in this area to the panel as well.
