Lisa Stablein is the HRIF Coordinator at UC Irvine Medical Center where she is responsible for identification of high-risk infants and referring them to the HRIF program.  In addition, she is responsible for coordinating clinic visits and care coordination post visits.  Her favorite thing about supporting the HRIF Program is seeing the program grow from “just a thought” and “all on paper” to now having over 8,000 babies registered online. She loves seeing practice change come out of quality improvement projects and subsequent research.  Every day she feels motivated to improve the aftercare and management of this fragile population. Lisa has worked at UC Irvine for 11 years as the HRIF Coordinator supporting the NICU. Her prior experience was as a discharge / case manager for a NICU.  Lisa has always been involved in quality improvement projects, starting with her first committee participation 30 years ago as a new nurse. She attended Saddleback College for her AA in Nursing and Cal State Dominguez Hills for her Bachelor’s in Nursing and Public Health Nurse Certification.
