Substance Exposure In Utero

CPQCC has launched two new projects designed to address newborn substance exposure in utero.

The Mother & Baby Substance Exposure Initiative, a project of the California State Opioid Response, is funded by the California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS) and is a joint collaboration with CMQCC and Healthcare Management Associates (HMA)

The Maternal Exposures Workgroup is an internal project initiated by our member hospitals in an attempt to collect and track data on all newborns exposed to substances in utero, prescribed or un-prescribed, in their hospitals and to use that data to improve the quality of care that those infants receive.
